China's consumer prices in April rose 1.8% year over year, or down by 0.2% on a monthly basis.
By category, prices of health care climbed by 5.2%; housing rose by 2.2%; culture and recreation went up by 2%; articles and services for daily use grew by 1.5%; food, tobacco and liquor increased by 1.1%; and clothing rose by 1.1%.
In the first four months, the consumer price rose by 2.1% year over year.
Producer prices for industrial products in April grew 3.4% on an annual basis, down 0.2% month over month.
Purchasing prices for industrial producers grew by 3.7% year over year, down 0.3% month over month.
In the first four months, the purchasing prices for industrial producers increased 4.2% year over year.
