Crea Holdings fiscal Q4 loss narrows YOY

Crea Holdings Inc. said its normalized net income for the fiscal fourth quarter ended March 31 amounted to a loss of 79 Japanese sen per share, compared with a loss of ¥2.27 per share in the year-earlier period.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was a loss of ¥29.4 million, compared with a loss of ¥68.8 million in the prior-year period.

The normalized profit margin rose to negative 7.0% from negative 140.3% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue grew year over year to ¥417.0 million from ¥49.0 million, and total operating expenses grew year over year to ¥466.0 million from ¥137.0 million.

Reported net income came to a loss of ¥48.0 million, or a loss of ¥1.30 per share, compared to a loss of ¥111.0 million, or a loss of ¥3.67 per share, in the year-earlier period.

For the year, the company's normalized net income totaled a loss of ¥2.99 per share, compared with a loss of ¥6.66 per share in the prior year.

Normalized net income was a loss of ¥110.6 million, compared with a loss of ¥186.9 million in the prior year.

Full-year total revenue increased year over year to ¥829.0 million from ¥195.0 million, and total operating expenses rose 125.5% year over year to ¥1.01 billion from ¥447.0 million.

The company said reported net income totaled a loss of ¥173.0 million, or a loss of ¥4.67 per share, in the full year, compared with a loss of ¥293.0 million, or a loss of ¥10.44 per share, the prior year.

As of June 29, US$1 was equivalent to ¥122.67.
