Central Azucarera Chucarapi Pampa Blanca SA said its normalized net income for the second quarter came to 846,250 soles, compared with a loss of 1.7 million soles in the year-earlier period.
Normalized net income excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis.
The normalized profit margin increased to negative 51.8% from negative 73.5% in the year-earlier period.
Total revenue declined 30.1% year over year to 1.6 million soles from 2.3 million soles, and total operating expenses fell 41.6% year over year to 2.9 million soles from 5.0 million soles.
Reported net income totaled a loss of 1.4 million soles, compared with a loss of 2.8 million soles in the year-earlier period.
As of July 30, US$1 was equivalent to 3.18 soles.
