EDF Renewables completes tax equity deal for 80-MW wind farm in New York

EDF Renewables closed the sale of tax equity interest in the roughly 80-MW Copenhagen wind farm in Denmark, N.Y., to BAL Investment & Advisory Inc., according to a Jan. 3 notice.

The sale is part of a transaction approved by the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, in which EDF Renewables agreed to sell the class A nonmanaging stake in the Copenhagen facility and the 100-MW Stoneray wind facility in Pipestone and Murray counties, Minn., to BAL Investment.

EDF Renewables expects to complete the transfer of interests in the Stoneray project during the first quarter of 2019. FERC cleared the transaction in August 2018.

BAL Investment is owned by Bank of America Corp. EDF Renewables is a subsidiary of Electricité de France SA. (FERC docket EC18-113)
