Hokkaido Coca-Cola Bottling Co. Ltd. said its second-quarter normalized net income was ¥8.20 per share, a gain of 24.1% from ¥6.60 per share in the year-earlier period.
Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was ¥299.4 million, an increase of 24.1% from ¥241.3 million in the prior-year period.
The normalized profit margin climbed to 2.0% from 1.6% in the year-earlier period.
Total revenue totaled ¥15.26 billion, compared with ¥15.34 billion in the prior-year period, and total operating expenses declined from the prior-year period to ¥14.80 billion from ¥14.97 billion.
Reported net income fell 20.6% from the prior-year period to ¥344.0 million, or ¥9.42 per share, from ¥433.0 million, or ¥11.85 per share.
