Ahold Delhaize repurchases 1,265,600 common shares

Dutch grocery retailer Koninklijke Ahold Delhaize NV said Feb. 26 that it repurchased 1,265,600 of its common shares between Feb. 18 and Feb. 22.

The shares were repurchased at an average price of €22.93 per share for a total consideration of €29 million.

The transactions were part of the company's €1 billion share repurchase program announced in November 2018.

Ahold Delhaize repurchased 889,800 of its shares between Feb. 11 and Feb. 15. at an average price of €23.05 per share.

Under the buyback program, 7,369,800 shares have been repurchased to date, for a total consideration of about €167.9 million.
