BAIKSAN Q3 profit falls YOY

BAIKSAN Co. Ltd. said its third-quarter normalized net income was 39.76 South Korean won per share, a decrease of 33.5% from 59.77 won per share in the prior-year period.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was 962.1 million won, a decline of 33.6% from 1.45 billion won in the prior-year period.

The normalized profit margin declined to 2.1% from 3.4% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue rose 7.6% year over year to 45.18 billion won from 42.00 billion won, and total operating expenses grew from the prior-year period to 39.59 billion won from 38.41 billion won.

Reported net income totaled a loss of 1.82 billion won, or a loss of 75.35 won per share, compared to income of 2.04 billion won, or 84.00 won per share, in the prior-year period.

As of Nov. 11, US$1 was equivalent to 1,155.56 South Korean won.
