EagleTree secures structured financing, minority investments

EagleTree Capital LP obtained a structured financing investment from AlpInvest Partners affiliates and Canadian pension fund Alberta Teachers' Retirement Fund Board.

The private equity firm will use the proceeds to substantially increase its commitment to the EagleTree Partners V buyout fund. It also secured passive, nonvoting minority stakes from affiliates of London-based single-family office Misland Capital and New York-based private investor Bullingham Capital.

EagleTree targets companies in the media and business services, consumer, and water and specialty industrial sectors.

Lazard Frères & Co. LLC and Paul Weiss Rifkind Wharton & Garrison LLP provided advice to EagleTree on the transactions.

Ropes & Gray LLP was legal counsel to AlpInvest Partners, while Sullivan & Cromwell LLP and Grant Thornton advised Misland Capital.
