Chile's Dupol SA to operate as broker at Santiago stock exchange

Chile's Dupol SA Corredores de Bolsa has formally asked to operate as a broker at the Bolsa de Comercio de Santiago Bolsa de Valores, according to a report by Diario Financiero.

The move comes after the ownership of the Santiago stock exchange was transformed in June 2017 in a so-called demutualization process, which will see it become a listed company within the market itself.

The new structure allows for new brokers to enter the exchange without owning a stake in the stock market, as was previously required.

Dupol will be the fourth broker at the stock exchange after Renta 4, Vector Capital and EFG.
