Amphenol Corp. said its third-quarter normalized net income came to 70 cents per share, compared with the S&P Capital IQ consensus estimate of 79 cents per share.
EPS climbed 13.3% year over year from 62 cents.
Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was $221.2 million, a gain of 13.3% from $195.2 million in the prior-year period.
The normalized profit margin increased to 12.0% from 11.9% in the year-earlier period.
Total revenue increased 12.5% on an annual basis to $1.84 billion from $1.64 billion, and total operating expenses climbed 12.2% from the prior-year period to $1.46 billion from $1.30 billion.
Reported net income increased 23.9% from the prior-year period to $277.8 million, or 88 cents per share, from $224.1 million, or 71 cents per share.
