Packaged-foods maker Seneca Foods Corp. said July 31 that it has completed its acquisition of Paradise Inc.'s fruit business.
Financial details of the transaction were not disclosed.
Paradise is mainly focused on selling candied fruit for baking purposes, but it also manufactures plastic containers for its own retail products, as well as thermoformed and molded plastics for sale to unaffiliated customers.
"We are very excited about this acquisition and the extension of product offerings it brings to our company," Seneca Foods President and CEO Kraig Kayser said in a statement.
"This business segment will be a complementary fit within our maraschino business at our wholly own subsidiary Gray & Co."
