Wood extends contract with Abu Dhabi energy company for North Sea assets

Energy services provider John Wood Group PLC was granted an 18-month contract extension for engineering, construction and maintenance services on Abu Dhabi National Energy Co. PJSC's assets in the U.K. North Sea.

The extension is effective immediately and builds on a previous agreement which covered the Cormorant Alpha, Eider, Tern, North Cormorant and Harding offshore assets, according to a Sept. 3 release. Wood first partnered with the Abu Dhabi company on the North Sea assets over a decade ago, according to Dave Stewart, CEO of Wood's asset solutions business in Europe, Africa, Asia and Australia.

Financial details were not disclosed.
