Jerasia Capital Bhd. said its normalized net income for the fiscal first quarter ended June 30 came to 1.3 million ringgits, an increase from 630,630 ringgits in the year-earlier period.
Normalized net income excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis.
The normalized profit margin climbed to 1.7% from 0.9% in the year-earlier period.
Total revenue increased 10.7% year over year to 78.2 million ringgits from 70.7 million ringgits, and total operating expenses climbed 9.0% year over year to 75.4 million ringgits from 69.2 million ringgits.
Reported net income grew from the prior-year period to 1.5 million ringgits, or 2 sen per share, from 667,000 ringgits, or 1 sen per share.
As of Aug. 27, US$1 was equivalent to 3.15 ringgits.
