Equity Bank Kenya replaces departing managing director

Equity Bank (Kenya) Ltd. said Aug. 5 that its board accepted the resignation of Managing Director Polycarp Igathe and appointed Gerald Warui as his successor.

Equity Bank (Kenya) is a wholly owned subsidiary of Equity Group Holdings PLC, where Warui has served for 21 years.

Igathe will leave at August-end to join a different company after handing over his responsibilities to his successor. Warui's appointment is pending regulatory approval.
