South32 nonexecutive director dies

South32 Ltd. nonexecutive director Xolani Mkhwanazi died on Jan. 4 following a short illness, according to a Jan. 6 release.

Mkhwanazi joined South32's board in July 2015, shortly after the company demerged from BHP Group. He also served as chairman of BHP Billiton South Africa and as president and COO of South Africa Aluminium.
