ClearMotion receives $115M in series D funding

Automotive technology company ClearMotion Inc. raised $115 million in a series D financing round led by Franklin Templeton Investments.

Private investment firms NewView Capital Management LLC and Eileses Capital LLC contributed to the round, with significant participation from clients advised by JP Morgan Asset Management.

Other investors include Microsoft Corp., Bridgestone Corp., Qualcomm Inc., World Innovation Lab and AARP.

Founded at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, ClearMotion provides a ride system that can reduce vehicle movement across uneven road surfaces. The company has commissioned a pilot production facility for its initial original equipment manufacturer launches.
