Private equity firm AION Capital Partners Ltd. has bought InterGlobe Technologies Pvt. Ltd., an India-based travel business process management, technology and digital services company.
The deal, terms of which were not disclosed, is expected to help support InterGlobe's plans to expand in existing and new niche markets within the travel industry, according to a Jan. 8 statement.
InterGlobe provides digital contact center services, domain-driven technology, and other digital solutions such as chatbots, robotic process automation, travel analytics and social media services. It has more than 10,000 employees in seven countries where it operates.
AION Capital, a joint venture between U.S. based global private equity fund Apollo Global Management LLC and asset manager ICICI Venture Funds Management Co. Ltd., was reportedly targeting to raise more than US$1 billion for its second India-focused fund.
