Netherlands-based multinational telecom company Altice NV received a bid from wireless communications operator and real estate investment trust American Tower Corp. and private equity firm KKR & Co. LP for its telecommunications towers, Bloomberg News reported, citing unnamed sources, who noted that the assets could be valued at approximately €3 billion in a sale.
Infrastructure operator TDF and other private equity firms are also among potential bidders for the assets, according to the report.
Altice, which recently announced plans to sell its international wholesale voice carrier business in France, Portugal and the Dominican Republic, is reportedly contemplating establishing a new company for the tower assets and selling stakes in it to the successful bidders.
Altice, American Tower and TDF representatives declined to comment on the matter, while KKR did not immediately respond to requests for comment, according to Bloomberg.
