CNA to cover life sciences products liability; Premera offers wellness program

CNA Financial Corp. said agents would be able to quote, bind and issue products liability coverage, including clinical trials coverage for new life sciences small business customers through the company's online secure agent portal, CNA Central. The online life sciences products liability policy is available as an admitted form in 44 states.

Travelers Cos. Inc. launched Quantum Home 2.0, a homeowners insurance product with personalized pricing, more flexible coverage options and simplified policy documents. The new product is currently available in Colorado, Oregon and Wisconsin, and additional states will roll out the product in mid-2018.

Marsh LLC launched Project Edge, a U.S. project-specific general liability product for the construction industry, Business Insurance reported.

Mercury General Corp. introduced Service Line Protection, an upgrade to its homeowners insurance policy that offers up to $10,000 per occurrence for damage to exterior and underground service lines. Service Line Protection is available to Mercury's homeowners policyholders in Arizona, California, Georgia, Illinois, Nevada, New Jersey, Oklahoma, Texas and Virginia.

Pacific Life launched a new indexed universal life insurance product, Pacific Discovery Protector IUL. Pacific Life refers to Pacific Life Insurance Co. and its affiliates, including Pacific Life & Annuity Co.

Voya Financial Inc.'s retirement business was retained as the recordkeeping service provider for the Kansas Board of Regents retirement savings plan. As of December 2017, the plan with Voya represented about $770 million in assets and more than 8,000 participants.

Brighthouse Financial Inc announced a new version of its FlexChoice variable annuity living benefit rider, called FlexChoice Access. The new rider expands the number of available investment options to more than 50.
