Bon Fame Q4 profit climbs 60.7% YOY

Bon Fame Co. Ltd. said its normalized net income for the fourth quarter amounted to NT$1.40 per share, a gain of 60.6% from 87 cents per share in the prior-year period.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was NT$73.7 million, an increase of 60.7% from NT$45.9 million in the year-earlier period.

The normalized profit margin rose to 10.1% from 8.2% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue climbed 29.4% year over year to NT$728.0 million from NT$562.5 million, and total operating expenses climbed 20.0% from the prior-year period to NT$610.6 million from NT$509.0 million.

Reported net income grew 65.3% from the prior-year period to NT$102.9 million, or NT$1.95 per share, from NT$62.2 million, or NT$1.18 per share.

For the year, the company's normalized net income totaled NT$4.72 per share, compared with the S&P Capital IQ consensus normalized EPS estimate of NT$6.39.

EPS rose 54.7% from NT$3.05 in the prior year.

Normalized net income was NT$248.9 million, a rise of 54.5% from NT$161.1 million in the prior year.

Full-year total revenue grew 23.2% from the prior-year period to NT$2.54 billion from NT$2.06 billion, and total operating expenses grew 16.3% year over year to NT$2.17 billion from NT$1.87 billion.

The company said reported net income rose 68.3% on an annual basis to NT$355.1 million, or NT$6.74 per share, in the full year, from NT$211.0 million, or NT$4.00 per share.
