Alibaba's Tmall unveils consumer services center

Alibaba Group Holding Ltd.'s e-commerce platform Tmall set up a consumer services center in Hangzhou, China, in partnership with Alibaba-owned mall operator Intime.

The Tmall Wuyougo Service Center is part of Alibaba's broader initiative to merge online and offline shopping, company news portal Alizila said May 18.

The center offers services such as smartphone repairs, luxury goods cleaning and clothing alterations. Tmall also plans to launch an "At Your Door" option, through which consumers can opt for pickup and delivery rather than drop-off at the center.

Tmall plans to expand service centers to all of Intime's locations in China by year-end, and to independent storefronts in residential and commercial neighborhoods.
