Nanjing Central Emporium Q3 profit climbs 42.9% YOY

Nanjing Central Emporium (Group) Stocks Co. Ltd. said its third-quarter normalized net income came to 2 fen per share, a gain of 43.5% from 1 fen per share in the year-earlier period.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was 22.1 million yuan, an increase of 42.9% from 15.4 million yuan in the year-earlier period.

The normalized profit margin increased to 1.3% from 1.2% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue climbed 7.3% year over year to 1.34 billion yuan from 1.25 billion yuan, and total operating expenses rose 8.4% from the prior-year period to 1.27 billion yuan from 1.17 billion yuan.

Reported net income came to 11.4 million yuan, or 1 fen per share, compared to 11.5 million yuan, or 1 fen per share, in the prior-year period.

As of Oct. 28, US$1 was equivalent to 6.78 yuan.
