The board of Hamburg, N.Y.-based Evans Bancorp Inc. named Lee Wortham its chairman, effective April 1.

Wortham, currently the board's vice chairman, as well as a partner in Barrantys LLC, succeeds John O'Brien. O'Brien retires March 31.

Oliver Sommer, in turn, succeeds Wortham as vice chairman. Sommer is an Evans board member and a partner with management consulting firm The River Group.
