Japan-based Nomura Holdings Inc. announced changes to its senior management lineup, including the appointment of new COOs.
The securities company appointed Toshio Morita and Kentaro Okuda as co-COOs. Morita is president of Nomura Securities Co. Ltd., while Okuda is head of Americas, based in New York. They replace Tetsu Ozaki who has been named vice chairman of the group.
The company also named Yo Akatsuka as global head of investment banking.
The changes are effective April 1.
In addition, Nomura made management changes to its international operations, subject to regulatory approvals.
The company appointed Takahiro Yamaoku as co-head of investment banking for Europe, the Middle East and Africa at Nomura International Plc in London. Kentaro Kubota was named general manager of Nomura International plc, Sucursal en España.
The company named Hiroyuki Muromachi as president of Nomura Nederland NV, while Yuji Yamasaki was appointed president of Nomura Australia Ltd.
In China, Nomura named Mitsutaka Kitamura as general manager of the Beijing and Shanghai office. Hongling Shen was appointed chief representative of the Beijing office.
