Report: Khazanah Nasional holds talks with SoftBank about investing in fund

Malaysian sovereign wealth fund Khazanah Nasional Bhd. held discussions with SoftBank Group Corp. about a potential investment in the Japanese company's SoftBank Vision Fund LP, the Nikkei Asian Review reported May 28, citing two senior sources familiar with the talks.

The discussions were held in April when SoftBank reportedly was in talks with potential investors about raising an additional US$15 billion for the fund.

In May, SoftBank founder and CEO Masayoshi Son confirmed that a Vision Fund II will be set up. The Japan-based company is also said to be looking into an IPO for the SoftBank Vision Fund.
