White Oak-backed Prism buys Abatement Industries Group

Prism Spectrum Holdings LLC acquired Abatement Industries Group Inc. for an undisclosed amount.

Abatement Industries Group is a West Haven, Conn.-based specialty contractor performing asbestos abatement, selective demolition, polychlorinated biphenyl removal and mold abatement throughout the U.S.

The investor group involved in the deal is led by Atlanta-based private equity management firm The White Oak Group Inc.

The Abatement Industries purchase is part of a series of acquisitions by Prism aimed at boosting services for the demolition and remediation industries and the company's industrial process decontamination clients.

Among Prism's most recently acquired companies are Environmental Holdings Group LLC, a Morrisville, N.C.-based provider of environmental hazard abatement and demolition services, and Copper Environmental Consulting Inc., an Anaconda, Mont.-based company offering environmental consulting, engineering and project management services.

Prism is a Pennsylvania-based specialty contractor that provides comprehensive environmental remediation and demolition services.
