Cocoaland Holdings Q3 profit climbs 37.6% YOY

4914559 said its normalized net income for the third quarter amounted to 3 Malaysian sen per share, a gain of 37.6% from 2 sen per share in the prior-year period.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was 5.8 million ringgits, an increase of 37.6% from 4.2 million ringgits in the year-earlier period.

The normalized profit margin climbed to 9.8% from 6.6% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue declined 7.6% on an annual basis to 58.9 million ringgits from 63.8 million ringgits, and total operating expenses decreased 7.6% from the prior-year period to 52.8 million ringgits from 57.1 million ringgits.

Reported net income increased 55.7% from the prior-year period to 6.6 million ringgits, or 3 sen per share, from 4.2 million ringgits, or 2 sen per share.
