HSBC names vice chairman for Southeast Asia operations

HSBC Holdings PLC appointed Philip Lee vice chairman of the bank's Southeast Asia operations, The Business Times reported Sept. 16, citing a statement from the banking group.

He is expected to begin in his newly-created role in mid-September and will report to Greg Guyett, group head of global banking, and Tony Cripps, CEO of HSBC Singapore. He will be based in Singapore, the report added.

Lee previously served as vice chairman for Southeast Asia and chief country officer of Deutsche Bank AG's Singapore operations.
