Fiamma Holdings fiscal Q3 profit climbs YOY

Fiamma Holdings Berhad said its normalized net income for the fiscal third quarter ended June 30 amounted to 1 Malaysian sen per share, a decline of 5.1% from 1 sen per share in the year-earlier period.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was 5.6 million ringgits, an increase from 5.3 million ringgits in the year-earlier period.

The normalized profit margin fell to 6.6% from 6.7% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue increased 5.4% year over year to 83.8 million ringgits from 79.5 million ringgits, and total operating expenses rose 5.9% on an annual basis to 73.2 million ringgits from 69.2 million ringgits.

Reported net income increased 6.6% year over year to 6.4 million ringgits, or 1 sen per share, from 6.0 million ringgits, or 1 sen per share.

As of Aug. 21, US$1 was equivalent to 4.29 ringgits.
