UEX discovers new high-grade zone of uranium mineralization at Christie Lake

UEX Corp. said Jan. 30 that the first drill hole of its 2017 exploration program at its early stage Christie Lake property in Saskatchewan discovered a new high-grade zone of uranium mineralization 500 meters to the northeast and along strike of known mineralization.

The company said that drilling intersected a 7.8-meter interval with three sections of off-scale massive uranium mineralization, starting at a depth of 475.65 meters. The company's handheld scintillometer can read up to 15,000 counts per second of radiation.

Full assay results are pending.

UEX is earning up to a 70% interest in the Christie Lake property from JCU (Canada) Exploration Co. Ltd. under a January 2016 agreement.
