Alicorp S.A.A. said its second-quarter normalized net income amounted to 8 Peruvian céntimos per share, a gain from 1 céntimos per share in the year-earlier period.
Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was 68.6 million soles, a gain from 12.3 million soles in the year-earlier period.
The normalized profit margin climbed to 4.2% from 0.8% in the year-earlier period.
Total revenue came to 1.63 billion soles, compared with 1.64 billion soles in the prior-year period, and total operating expenses decreased on an annual basis to 1.48 billion soles from 1.52 billion soles.
Reported net income rose on an annual basis to 74.7 million soles, or 9 céntimos per share, from 8.1 million soles, or 1 céntimos per share.
As of July 26, US$1 was equivalent to 3.38 soles.
