Napatech swings to loss in Q1

Napatech A/S said its normalized net income for the first quarter came to a loss of 15 Danish øre per share, compared with 12 øre per share in the prior-year period.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was a loss of 3.6 million kroner, compared with income of 2.9 million kroner in the prior-year period.

The normalized profit margin declined to negative 7.8% from 6.5% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue climbed 6.0% year over year to 46.3 million kroner from 43.7 million kroner, and total operating expenses grew year over year to 48.6 million kroner from 46.5 million kroner.

Reported net income totaled a loss of 4.5 million kroner, or a loss of 19 øre per share, compared to income of 3.5 million kroner, or 15 øre per share, in the year-earlier period.

As of May 10, US$1 was equivalent to 6.53 Danish kroner.
