Italy's producer price index gained 0.7% in January, after holding steady in December 2017 at the prior month's level, the country's National Institute of Statistics said.
The index for prices goods of sold on the domestic market rose 0.8% while the non-domestic market recorded a 0.2% increase.
On average, producer prices rose 0.9% in the three months ending in January as compared to the previous three-month period. January's index was up by 1.7% compared to the year-ago period.
