Report: Morgan Stanley poaches BofA exec

Umi Mehta joined Morgan Stanley as a managing director of global internet at its office in Menlo Park, Calif., Bloomberg News reported, citing people familiar with the matter.

Mehta is working with Kate Claassen as co-head of the Morgan Stanley group, Bloomberg's sources said.

Mehta previously was a managing director and head of U.S. internet investment banking at Bank of America Corp., the news outlet reported, citing Mehta's LinkedIn profile.

Morgan Stanley and BofA representatives did not comment on the matter to Bloomberg.
