JB Hi-Fi Ltd. said its normalized net income for the fiscal first half ended Dec. 31, 2014, was 79 Australian cents per share, compared with the S&P Capital IQ consensus estimate of 88 cents per share.
In the prior-year period, the per-share result came in at a profit of 80 cents.
Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was A$79.4 million, a decrease from A$80.5 million in the year-earlier period.
Total revenue grew on an annual basis to A$1.97 billion from A$1.94 billion, and total operating expenses increased from the prior-year period to A$1.84 billion from A$1.81 billion.
Reported net income decreased year over year to A$88.5 million, or 88 cents per share, from A$90.3 million, or 89 cents per share.
