Gold Standard Ventures Corp. on Jan. 19 said drilling at the Railroad-Pinion gold project in Nevada expanded the Main Dark Star deposit.
The 15-hole drilling also confirmed that the North Dark Star and Main Dark Star deposits form one larger occurrence with a strike length of about 1,300 meters.
Results included 33.1 meters grading 0.62 g/t of gold from 164.3 meters, with a larger lower-grade interval.
The company plans to release a maiden resource estimate for the North Dark Star deposit this year and explore a possible connection between the Dark Star and Pinion systems.
"We now view the Dark Star occurrence as a much larger system with the size and continuity that favor large scale, efficient exploitation," said CEO Jonathan Awde.
