Hurricane Energy PLC reported Sept. 20 an after-tax loss of $21.2 million for the first half, up from an after-tax loss of $75.1 million a year ago.
The loss includes a noncash fair value loss of a convertible bond of $23.5 million.
Operating profit totaled $1.2 million compared to an operating loss of $4.7 million in the same period last year.
Hurricane said it has produced an average of 14,100 barrels of oil per day since it announced first oil of its Lancaster early production system on June 4.
For the year, the company expects production to reach an average of 12,500 bbl/d.
