Tokyo Individualized Educational fiscal Q3 profit climbs 5.1% YOY

Tokyo Individualized Educational Institute Inc. said its normalized net income for the fiscal third quarter ended Nov. 30, 2014, was ¥5.02 per share, an increase of 5.1% from ¥4.78 per share in the year-earlier period.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was ¥272.5 million, an increase of 5.1% from ¥259.4 million in the prior-year period.

The normalized profit margin declined to 7.7% from 8.0% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue rose 9.2% year over year to ¥3.54 billion from ¥3.24 billion, and total operating expenses climbed 9.9% on an annual basis to ¥3.11 billion from ¥2.83 billion.

Reported net income grew year over year to ¥262.0 million, or ¥4.83 per share, from ¥252.0 million, or ¥4.64 per share.
