Amorepacific Corp. said its first-quarter normalized net income came to 2,498.02 South Korean won per share, compared with the S&P Capital IQ consensus estimate of 3,007.09 won per share.
EPS increased 72.6% year over year from 1,447.04 won.
Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was 172.30 billion won, a gain of 72.5% from 99.87 billion won in the year-earlier period.
The normalized profit margin increased to 14.3% from 10.7% in the year-earlier period.
Total revenue climbed 29.2% year over year to 1.204 trillion won from 931.82 billion won, and total operating expenses grew 22.5% from the prior-year period to 926.38 billion won from 756.12 billion won.
Reported net income grew 72.2% on an annual basis to 207.96 billion won, or 3,015.00 won per share, from 120.78 billion won, or 1,749.95 won per share.
As of May 15, US$1 was equivalent to 1,083.65 South Korean won.
