Woodside, Uniper sign long-term LNG supply deal

Woodside Energy Ltd. subsidiary Woodside Energy Trading Singapore Pte Ltd and Germany's Uniper Global Commodities SE entered into a heads of agreement for the supply of LNG.

Woodside will supply 0.5 million tonnes per year of LNG starting in 2021 and continuing for 13 years, with supply increasing to about 1 mtpa from 2025, according to a Sept. 17 news release from Woodside.

The deal is still subject to an LNG sale and purchase agreement and a final investment decision on the Scarborough field development, which is estimated to contain 7.3 Tcf of natural gas reserves.
