SoftBank leads $200M funding round for fintech platform C2FO

SoftBank Group Corp.'s SoftBank Vision Fund LP led a US$200 million funding round for C2FO, a financial technology platform.

The round also saw participation from C2FO's existing investors, Temasek Holdings (Pte.) Ltd. and Union Square Ventures LLC. Following the investment, Nahoko Hoshino will join the C2FO board of directors on behalf of SoftBank Investment Advisers.

The company will use the funding's proceeds to add new markets to its platform to further improve access to working capital for companies globally.

C2FO utilizes an online marketplace to connect businesses that want working capital with those who have cash. Headquartered in the U.S., the company also has offices in the U.K., India, China and Hong Kong.
