The producer price index of Italy rose 0.2% in February from January and 1.6% year over year, the country's National Institute of Statistics said.
The prices of goods sold on the domestic market inched up by 0.3% month over month, while those for the non-domestic market ticked up by 0.1%.
On average, producer prices rose 0.9% in the three months ending in February when compared to the previous three-month period.
Meanwhile, the services producer price index increased by 0.5% in the fourth quarter of 2017, compared with the previous quarter, and by 1.3% compared with the same quarter of 2016.
