Kingsrose secures final approvals for Way Linggo gold project

Kingsrose Mining Ltd. said Jan. 16 that its 85%-owned unit PT Natarang Mining Co. secured approval of its AMDAL from the Ministry of Environment and Forestry in Indonesia.

The approval, which is the Indonesian equivalent of an environmental impact assessment, secures the company's near-term production and growth strategy at its Way Linggo gold project in Indonesia.

All permits have now been secured to allow ore production from the Talang Santo gold-silver open pit mine and the continuation of production from Way Linggo. This also marks Way Linggo's transformation from an underground operation to open-pit mining.

Kingsrose started pre-mining waste removal at Talang Santo, its second open pit mine, in November 2018.
