West African Minerals names new chairman

West AfricanMinerals Corp. said April 1 that Chairman Brad Mills has resignedwith immediate effect and will be replaced by nonexecutive director GerardHolden.

Mills, however, will remain as a nonexecutive director.

Meanwhile, Mills informed West African Minerals that theoperator agreement with Plinian Capital Ltd. covering the company's iron oreprojects in Cameroon would terminate from March 31.

The agreement, which was announced in February 2015, saw thecompany appoint Plinian as operator at a total annual cost of US$160,000 for aninitial term of 12 months.
