BlackRock affiliate's sale of 2 Iowa wind farms lands at FERC

BlackRock NTR Renewable Power Fund (Master) LP is seeking the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission approval to sell its controlling stake in two wind farms in Iowa to Greenbacker Renewable Energy.

The sale involves the 42.5-MW Elk facility in Delaware County and the 37.5-MW Hawkeye facility in Fayette County. BlackRock NTR Renewable Power Fund owns 90% of the membership interests in each of the facilities.

The wind farms have long-term power purchase agreements with Central Iowa Power Cooperative.

The company has requested the commission to approve the transaction by Oct. 21.
