Swedish communication technology company Telefonaktiebolaget LM Ericsson (publ) completed the acquisition of Kathrein Mobile Communication, Germany-based Kathrein SE's antenna and filter division.
In acquiring Kathrein's antenna and filter business, Ericsson gains 4,000 employees in research and development, production, and sales based in Germany, Romania, the U.S., Mexico and China, according to a company release.
The acquisition will help Ericsson's push to develop 5G-capable technologies, the company said.
