Nandan Denim fiscal Q3 profit climbs 26.1% YOY

Nandan Denim Ltd. said its normalized net income for the fiscal third quarter ended Dec. 31, 2014, amounted to 2.78 Indian rupees per share, compared with the S&P Capital IQ consensus estimate of 2.79 rupees per share.

EPS climbed 25.9% year over year from 2.21 rupees.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was 126.8 million rupees, a gain of 26.1% from 100.5 million rupees in the prior-year period.

The normalized profit margin climbed to 4.6% from 4.6% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue grew 25.7% year over year to 2.78 billion rupees from 2.21 billion rupees, and total operating expenses grew 27.3% on an annual basis to 2.49 billion rupees from 1.96 billion rupees.

Reported net income increased 38.0% from the prior-year period to 126.4 million rupees, or 2.77 rupees per share, from 91.5 million rupees, or 2.01 rupees per share.

As of Feb. 3, US$1 was equivalent to 61.67 Indian rupees.
