Eros Now signs content licensing deal with iQIYI

Eros International PLC's Eros Now platform has struck a content licensing deal with Chinese online video-streaming service iQIYI Inc.

Under the agreement, Eros Now will license its catalog of Bollywood movies to the Baidu Inc.-owned IQiyi, the company said Sept. 10.

Eros Now is an over-the-top South Asian entertainment platform. IQiyi is an online video website with nearly 6 billion hours spent on its service each month and more than 500 million active monthly users.

Eros International is a global company in the Indian film entertainment industry that acquires, co-produces and distributes Indian films across all available formats, including cinema, television and digital new media.
