Mega Financial names new president

Mega Financial Holdings Co. Ltd. appointed a new president and announced changes to the board and executive teams of its banking unit.

The company said in a Feb. 7 release that Hu Kuang-Hua was appointed president of the company, subject to regulatory approval. He will replace Yang Li-Yen, who is retiring from the post. Hu is executive vice president of Taiwan Cooperative Financial Holding Co. Ltd. and Taiwan Cooperative Bank Ltd.

Hu was also named director of both Mega Financial and its unit Mega International Commercial Bank Co. Ltd. He replaces Yang in both roles, effective Feb. 7, according to a separate same-day filing.

In another Feb. 7 release, Robert Tsai Yong-Yi was appointed president of Mega International Commercial Bank to replace Yang, subject to regulatory approval. Tsai is senior executive vice president of the bank.
