Banco Agibank deregisters from CVM after IPO cancellation

Banco Agibank SA said Dec. 26 that it approved a request to cancel its registration as a publicly-held company with Brazilian regulator CVM, months after the company suspended efforts to list its shares.

The Porto-Alegre based bank, founded in 2009, had postponed its initial public offering in June after seeing weak demand. The company at the time had said that it would look to retest investor sentiment after Brazil's presidential election, though withdrew the IPO registration in September.
